World Cup 2024 in New Delhi: Anna Janssen Crowned with a New World Record!
New Delhi, October 15, 2024 – German sport shooter Anna Janssen made waves at the World Cup in New Delhi with consistently high shooting performances. Shot after shot, showcasing an impressive display of skill and rewarding herself with a new record in the books. In the qualification round of the air rifle competition, she achieved a remarkable score of 636.9 points, setting a new world record at the World Cup!
The World Cup Final, considered the culmination of the international shooting sports season, once again brought together the elite shooters from around the world. With nine qualified participants, Germany fielded the fourth-largest contingent, after India, China, and Italy. Anna Janssen qualified for the finals in two disciplines, air rifle and small bore.
Thanks to her record-breaking result, Janssen confidently advanced to the final round of the top eight shooters, ultimately finishing in seventh place. The victory went to China’s Huang Yuting, who had already won the silver medal at the Paris Olympic Games.
